Rubber Flower Care
Rubber flower is a large and pleasant-leaved ornamental plant that we can use in our living spaces such as homes, offices and workplaces. It renews its leaves periodically. It is a highly preferred plant due to its simple care, rapid development and easy adaptation to any environment. There are many types in nature.
How to care for rubber
The rubber flower should not be exposed to direct sunlight. It can tend towards the direction it takes daylight. Its direction that does not receive daylight should be turned into daylight at regular intervals. Thus, the tendency of the flower in one direction can be prevented.
When the rubber flower is exposed to low light, it cannot be fed sufficiently, thus causing the leaves to rot and turn yellow.
How to water rubber
Rubber flower should be watered from the top of the pot twice a week in summer and once a week in winter. Mondays and Thursdays can be preferred in summer irrigation technique. Mondays can be preferred in the irrigation technique in winter. The scale of the water container used during irrigation should always be the same, and if we watered at the bottom of the flower pot in the evening at most, the water accumulated in the pot should be poured in the morning. Thus, the formation of odors and insects in the soil of the plant will be prevented. The basic rule in irrigation should be given water as the soil dries out, so that we can understand whether the soil is dry or watery, we can understand whether it is dry or wet by dipping our fingers into the soil. If it is wet, we should leave our irrigation to the next watering day, since our plant has not yet finished the water in the soil.
Where does rubber grow
The rubber flower should be kept away from wind flowing places. Since the wind shakes our flower, the stem of the plant changes and causes air flow to enter the root of the soil. Buddha reduces the life of our flower and causes yellowing and rotting on the leaves of the flowers. For example: Flowers should definitely be kept away from places that are opened and exposed to wind such as doorways and windows.
How to prune rubber
After the rubber flower has faded, the decaying leaves must be cut and shaped with scissors in order for the plant to refresh and renew its leaves again. In order to prevent the pruned branch from getting air, it can be covered with cold silicone, wax or non-burning adhesives.
Changing the rubber soil
The soil change of the rubber flower can be done every two to three years. However, the soil should be added every year. The point to be considered when changing the soil is that the pot of the flower you want to change should be planted at most one number larger.
Rubber Vitamin Usage
The point to be considered when using vitamins in rubber flower is that if the leaves of our potted flower are healthy, we do not have to use vitamins during this period. If the flowers of our flower have faded and we have done the pruning, we can provide nutritional support to our plant by complying with the conditions of using the flower vitamins sold in stores for both flowering and development of our plant in this period. Example: In general, nutrients are poured in 1 LT of water in a cap scale, and we can apply the medicated water to our plants once in fifteen days or once a month with our standard scale for irrigating the flowers in the environment where the vitamins are well mixed with water.
Do you like rubber light?
We want the rubber flower to be found in our living spaces, but if the environment we put in is away from daylight, it causes the leaves of our plants to fall off, we need to help our plants to stay healthy. For this, we can support our flowers with illuminators to adapt them to their natural environment and to receive light. Most of the potted flowers like light, this should be daylight, and in areas where there is no, it should be supported with illuminators. Plants in the dark shed their leaves, yellowing and wilting occurs. Less water should be given to plants with less light.
What damages rubber.
1 - Watering the plant excessively
2 - The pot holes of our plant are closed and the water does not come out of the holes.
3 - The diseased plant is close to other plants
4 - Poor quality soil or insufficient vitamins
5 - Diseases and fungi on the leaves of our plant Cotton-like diseases such as flies, worms or sticky damage our plant.
When we see such diseases and pests in our plant, take a leaf or soil from our plant from the companies that sell pesticides and use the appropriate medicines according to the diseases that occur and use them according to the user manual.
How rubber is reproduced
If there is more than one branch or trunk to reproduce the rubber flower, one of the separated stems should be taken and placed in a vase filled with water. After germination in a water-filled vase, they should be planted in a small pot and continue their routine maintenance and irrigation. The roots of the rubber plant that we planted in pots should be covered with soil in a way that does not take air.
